  1. 2. Harry fainted because the heat from the sun caused the cutaneous blood vessels to dilate. Assuming that the band immediately stood up while the coach was talking to the team, Harry’s blood began to pool in the dilated vessels of the lower limbs rather than returning back to the heart. At this point his blood pressure decreases causing dizziness signaling that the brain isn’t getting enough oxygen, in turn causing him to faint.
