Question:

Harry potter's eyes? this really bothers me!?

In the book, one of the main points of his appearance is his emerald eyes, just like his mother's. In the movie, they're blue, and ordinary. I don't see why anybody would immediately notice they look like his mother's, if she just had blue eyes like a lot of people do. Why did Warner Bros not make his eyes green?

  1. The contacts bothered Daniel Radcliffe, so they decided that it wasn't worth it. It is a small thing when you think about it, and it wasn't worth making the kid wear the contacts for hours every day.

  2. They though blue eyes were cooler i guess

  3. Daniel Radcliffe has blue eyes, and he did not want to wear coloured contacts. (yes, im for real)

  4. Contacts hurt the actor's eyes.

  5. when hollywood mangles the books we love and put them on film format the hair and eyes always go first.  has anybody ever read the flowers in the attic series and then watched the movie?  they all had bad dye jobs and mixed eye colours.

  6. maybe they just figured it wouldn't matter. i think his eyes should be green too, but it is possible the contacts were uncomfortable. by the way, sirius died AFTER harry saw thestrals. but thanks for answering my question anyway. =]

  7. i noticed that in the movies.

its the same thing why they cut out alot of important things that lead upto the 7th book.

and the actor didnt want contacts so they left him alone cause it was such a small detail to bother with.

  8. huh! I didn't notice that! idk...maybe they didnt want to give him contacts for some weird reason. beats me.
