so i just started getting into harry potters

ive watched all the movies and am just starting to read the first book.

heres my question:

why is hagrid banned from using magic and why did he get expelled?

also

can you name all the books that are out right now

and all the movies? i need a list to see which i have left to buy.

You find out in the 2nd book (Chambers of Secrets) why Hagrid was banned from using magic and why he was expelled.

The book are:

1 Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

2 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

3 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

4 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

5 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

6 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

7 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

And currently the first 5 movies are out. and they have the same names as the first 5 books.

Hagrid was expelled because everyone thought he opened the chamber of secrets. I think that was it. If you are expelled then you will have your wand snapped in half and banned from using magic.

It's explained in the 2nd book. He was expelled in his 3rd year because of a crime - won't say what or whether or not he committed it- Just trust me that you'll get to it soon enough. I really don't want to spoil it for you, they are such good books.
