Manchester City’s goal keeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699 has gone on to praise the team’s back four, following their win over Manchester United.
City went on to play their local rivals in a derby that was going to decide just who would be on top of the league table and following a highly contested game, City went on to win by one goal to nil.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Kompany-c36184 was the only player to manage to find the back of the net and the defender’s header seemed to do the magic for his team.
However, Hart believes that the team’s back four needs to be credited for their superb performance, since they managed to keep their opponents at bay for the entire game.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international is quoted to have said: “I think everyone can feel [the intensity]. There's been a lot of build-up to this for weeks and weeks outside of the team.”
“We've concentrated on what we've wanted to do – we've not been great at times but we're on a good run at the moment we've played a very good side there and beaten them.”
“They're a good side and balls came flying in but when you've got the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joleon-Lescott-c18941 and Gael Clichy – they were brilliant, so I always felt comfortable.”
The keeper then went on to insist that the team needed to focus on their upcoming games and avoid slipping up before the season came to an end.
He added: “It doesn't change how we feel about this season. It won't change how we've gone into every game.”
“It's great for us tonight but Newcastle is now our focus. They're really pumping themselves up in the league. St. James' Park is going to be tough and we're looking forward to taking a great support there like we've had great support at home and hopefully
we can push on and get one game closer.”
