Manchester City’s goal keeper, Joe Hart believes that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 has started to play mind games, as he is looking to get a mental advantage over Manchester United.
Mancini went on to state that City were now out of the title race and that United would go on and claim the Premier League crown at the end of the season.
However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699 feels that the manager only made those comments to get into the minds of his opponents and that the manager had no intention of falling out of the title race just yet.
At the moment, City are trailing United by five points and the two teams are set to take each other on the 30th of April. As a result, City still possess a decent chance of ending the season with the Premier League crown.
Hart, who believes that City wouldn’t even be going into their upcoming games if they didn’t want to win the league title is quoted to have said: “There is no point in us turning up on Sunday if the title race is over”
“We've still got to believe, we've still got to fight for every single point available.”
"I don't think he [Mancini] means that the season is over. I think he is just trying to play it down a little bit and let us get on with what we need to do.”
"There is no way any of us would give up until it is mathematically impossible."
Despite suffering a massive slip up in their hunt for the Premier League crown, City went on to pick their feet up and get back in the hunt in their last two games.
The team seems to be more focused now than it ever was and should they maintain this focus they could end up coming out on top at the end of the current season.
Nonetheless, City’s success largely depends on how United play and should the team fail to lose any more games, then City stand no chance of winning the Premier League title.
City now need to focus on winning all their games, while they hope for United to suffer some slip ups along the way.
