Manchester City’s goal keeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699 is happy to be back in the City starting eleven, and has admitted that it feels good to start winning games once again.
The player admitted that he had to wait a massive two weeks in order for him to make amends for the way he performed in the game against Southampton.
He then went on to sit on the bench in the game against Leeds, which City went on to win. However, he is now happy to have been with the team, as they went on to beat http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in a highly competitive league fixture.
Hart stepped up to the plate in the game, and made a number of good saves. He even went on to stop a penalty from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097, as City went on to win by two goals to nil in the game.
"It was hard, really hard waiting to wipe out that memory of defeat at Southampton - I am happy to just play, and happy to get the win," he told reporters.
"I totally respect the fact that Costel [Pantilimon] came in and did brilliantly in the FA Cup for us, and sometimes you just have to wait, I know that.”
"But we showed we have the right spirit in being able to bounce back after Southampton. We have got it, no doubt about it. We all under-performed against Southampton - that's gone, you can't do anything now, you move on from that. You have got to look forward."
He then went on to admit that City can make no excuses for them not being in contention to win the league. However, he also admitted that the team would fight it out till the last day of the season to see just how far they can go.
Following that win, City have now gone on to maintain their winning form, as they haven’t been dropping any silly points since then.
Despite the points difference between them and Manchester United being far greater than they would have hoped for, it is safe to say that City are looking to try to do whatever they can, to close the gap on the top of the table.
