  1. Island Of Happiness ive had for 4 days and i like it better than DS Cute its more challenging the graphics are better and there's more Bachelors and Bachelorettes

  2. (First of all, I'm still awaiting IoH to be shipped to me via import XD)

So, based on opinion and what I know of IoH without playing it personally...

The most difficult part in IoH is growing crops. The crop system is much more complex than in HMDSCute. This is because light and water is what determines how crops turn out in Island of Happiness. This means that if a crop needs a lot of sunlight, this can't be changed because weather is determined around 6 days in advance.

In HMDSCute, you could change tomorrow's weather easily, and crops only need to be watered once a day, without worrying they'll die.

Island of Happiness uses the touch screen most. Pretty much every action is done by using the stylus. However, this could be a bad thing sometimes because simple actions such as throwing or shipping an item could take several tries to get right.

Harvest Moon Cute uses the stylus for things like petting/brushing/milking/sheering animals, and can be used for things like moving items in your rucksack. The D-pad is mainly used though, which is good in my opinion, especially to walk/run around the Valley.

IoH has lots more upgrades and many more characters (90!)..but if you don't talk to them in 30 days, they'll leave the Island (but you can get them to return after 30 days if you meet their requirements).

In HMDSC, you can get extra characters by connecting to the GBA game, either 'Friends of Mineral Town' or 'More Friends of Mineral Town'. However, the MT people will only visit once a week, on their days off. So if you want to marry a MT guy, it may take 3-4 years to get him to a red heart.

Overall, both games are challenging, but it depends on how you play the game and how ambitious you are.

In HMDSCute, you can aim to get all crops to level 100, complete shipping/fishing/building/mining lists.

In IoH, you have to expand the island in order to unlock many things, such as new characters/access to the mine, forest, etc. Getting enough money to upgrade things could be harder at the start of the game though. (But isn't that true for all games?).

I'll suggest you look here for HMDSCute:

And here for IoH (still being updated):

Maybe you could get both games? And if you have the Wii, you could also think about the upcoming game 'Tree of Tranquility' which will also be a great HM game.
