Harvey to make debut for Suffolk on May 15, 2011
The 18-year-old Scott Harvey is set to stage his debut for Suffolk in the Minor Counties KO Trophy game against Lincolnshire at Ipswich School ground on May 15, 2011.
Harvey came on the radar after delivering stunning performances with the bat for Suffolk Development XI and Bury St Edmunds in last summer and this season respectively.
He is to replace the batsman, Sasha http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ward-c96201. The skipper of Suffolk will also be out of the squad due to his examinations.
Harvey lashed a match-winning 42 not out in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gibbs-c60021 East Anglian Premier League last week.
The teenage batsman has proved himself to be a composed and consistent player. He hits the ball hard while keeping in view the fielding positions of the rivals.
Harvey is also impressive in his school games. He has improved himself in a very short period of time and Suffolk experience will be a great breakthrough for him.

The bowler, phil Edrards, is also likely to be dropped as he is having a hamstring injury. He will be replaced by Ben Stephens, a former Colchester and East http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Essex-c783 bowler.
The Suffolk squad includes, T Huggins, B http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bishop-c48135 (capt), S Harvey, P Edwards, M Osborne, J Finch and B Stephens.
Suffolk’s star player however, will be Harvey. The young batsman is confident about his debut and has been in the training camp since many days.
Founded in 1864, the Suffolk club has a very rich history. It has claimed Minor Counties Championship three times in 1946, 1977 and 1979.
They also won the MCCA Knockout Trophy once in 2007. The club has produced some of the top-ranked first-class cricketers like Phil Mead, Robin Hobbs, Derek Randall and Devon Malcolm.
Now, Harvey intends to be one of them.
