Harveys comments on tanking?

He has urged the afl to put an end to the slur of tanking

we all know it happens

Im not accusing any club of it you can make your own mind up about that

my question is how can the afl stop it?

also any comments about ackers statement on it

I think the 2 year idea was good because although it came at a bad time for some clubs it means that a team will need to sacrifice their game for two years if they want a good draft pick

In answer to, how can they stop tanking.......It doesn't look like the AFL want to do anything about it. Look at Carlton last year. They tanked & got priority draft picks & the AFL just went into denial.

Tony Libaratore, an assistant coach at Carlton at the time, said they were tanking at the end of the year. He withdrew his allegations when things got too hot for him. His comments backfired on him because he was criticized from all areas of the media for what he said.

As to Ackermanis, he makes all these silly allegations without any proof or substance. What he says sometimes is probably close to the truth but he never backs up what he says. He does it just to keep in the limelight all the time.

The afl should abolish the current draft system after the 2 new teams start and have a lottery like the NBA uses. This will eliminate the element of tanking and makes it fair for everyone.
