Haryana v Delhi - http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kumar-Shri-Ranjitsinhji-c71870 Trophy - Group B – Day 3 – Live Score and Update
Haryana 307 & 167/6 (59.0 ov) v Delhi 224 - Haryana lead by 250 runs with 4 wickets remaining
The four-day game between Haryana and Delhi is heading for an epic end, where the former have already gained a lead of 250 runs against their opponents, and might declare their second innings on Tuesday by posting 100 runs more to bowl-out http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780, at Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium, Rohtak.
This wicket has certainly been conducive for both batsmen and bowlers, giving all sides equal opportunities.
After http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Haryana-c790 bulldozed Delhi by piling 307 runs in their first innings, Delhi smashed 165 by the end of second day with six wickets down.
They now needed a strong start on Monday to avoid an embarrassing end to their batting.
U Chand, who had smacked 76 runs the previous day, was joined by MD Chauhan, but this partnership was not intimidating enough to put the fielding side on the back foot, as after bolstering 186 runs, this batting duo met its end on the wicket of Chand, who was dismissed by Hooda after scoring 83 runs.
It was then a big ask from the tail-enders to forge some sort of a resistance against Haryana, as the side crumbled after posting 224 runs.
From the fielding side, MM Sharma and HV http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Huzefa-Mohammed-Patel-c63657 were phenomenal as they shared three wickets each to leave the batting side battered.
Haryana then had a 22-run stand before suffering the demise of their first wicket, followed by the loss of the second wicket on the same score.
Their third wicket fell when they had posted only 35 runs on the board. The loss of two quick wickets was unnerving and before they could mould a comeback, they lost another wicket with 68 runs on the board as RR Dalal fell for 16.
With four wickets down, AA Khod and S Rana staged a commendable comeback by leading their side to 103 before Rana fell, followed by the wicket of his batting partner.
Haryana ended the day with skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/A-Mishra-c871 unbeaten on 50 and J Yadav standing on 12 runs.
