Has 30 years of China's One-Child policy resulted in a lot of lonely, restless young Chinese men?

I remember reading years ago that HIV infections among single men were on the rise in China. The lack of women forced them to have s*x with each other.

haha, lol. Yeah i suppose so, condoms must be really cheap in China. There might even be a world shortage of rubber/plastic.

Its actually resulted in a very high crime rate... Young men who are not romantically attached committ more crimes then young men who are romantically attached.

i'm a chinese girl . so  far..i have never seen chinese couples  kill their own children..only idiots would kill their own babies.  that's murder..crime...     i also have no sisters  or brothers..but i have many good friends...they are like brothers and sisters..we are not too lonely..

Yes, there is a shortage of women of a particular age group in China.

Actually, it has.  In traditional Chinese culture, sons are preferred since they will be the one to stay and support the parents in thier old age.  Daughters on the other hand traditionally become members of their husband's household and assist in the care of his parents.  The ratio is currently somewhere around 5 young men to every available young woman.

There was actually a documentary about this on TV the other day...i think on HBO.....but to answer your question....what the one child policy has led to is a lot of human trafficking and kidnappings.....Some people sell their children since they cannot have more than one,and yet they keep getting pregnant....other people kidnap children to sell them...Others kidnap young girls/women and sell them to the highest bidder which are males purchasing them as wives.

And yes...a lot of people do abort girls when they find out they are having them because girls do not carry on the family name,they become the other families property upon marriage.
