Has ANYONE else experienced this lately?

I'm trying to figure out how this happened. I don't do drugs nor does my wife but I was setting the table this evening, and I put out two plates on the table. I then went back to the kitchen and there was only one plate left when I could've swore there would be 3 left. Then I went back to the table and there were four plates set out. I have 5 kids. Anyway the point is that I didn't and still can't remember putting the other two plates out. And my wife was sitting at the computer the whole time and my kids were cleaning their rooms.

Later this evening my wife was drinking tea which I don't drink and she asked me if I drank her tea cuz she didn't remember drinking it??? Coincidence I'm sure I guess I'm just wondering if there has been any other cases out there with unusual memory loss.

Why would there be three plates ? You said that you put out two.

5 kids, your wife & yourself = 7 plates, why 4?

Perhaps you left the plates stacked on top of each other ( looked like one), then without thinking about it, reset them?

As far as your wife not remembering drinking her tea,- easy to do when mentally absorbed on the computer.

Short term memory loss is not unusual at all, in fact extremely common.

I would not worry about it.
