Has Any one been to "La velvet margarita cantina" in Holywood Ca?

im thinking of going on saturday for my 25th b day with a group of friends

is it any good? Any other kool pots to hang out

looking for a fun place

where theres a bar and music but yet restaurant!

I agree with the answer posted here the Saddle Ranch on Sunset is great.. loads of fun and good food.  I have also been to Velvet Margarita.. looks pretty cool.. but the crowd inside just doesnt do it.. but if you are going with a good group of ppl it just might be nice.  Its dark inside and kinda eccentric and artsy.  Try both in one night.. dinner at Saddle and drinks afters at Velvet or visa versa.. it would work out but then you might stick around at Saddle.. good luck.. I've been a few times. The food is mediocre, but it's a good place to go with a large group to have dinner & drinks. The crowd is a little cheesy, but whatever, who cares if you're with good friends.  Another place--which is super SUPER cheesy (yet, it's part of the appeal!) is Saddle Ranch on Sunset. They have massive dinner platters and huge potent drinks. Then you can ride the bull after!!  I would make a reservation wherever you choose.

I have not been to La velvet margarita cantina but, I recommend you you "Happy Ending" restaurant on 7038 W. Sunset Blvd. It's a great place for a birthday party,  for a large group of friends, or just a nice to hang out with that special someone.
