It's a typical Caribbean island.  When the U.S. invaded it because the Cubans were building a new runway for the airport, that was probably the most exciting thing that happened there since the pirates stopped going there to get supplies.

Born in Grenada, lived there until I was 7 years old and visit occasionally.  It is a quiet and peaceful environment.  Warm, sunny, absolutely beautiful.  The beaches are AMAZING!!!!  In recent years crime has gone up but not at an alarming rate.  Overall, it's very quiet.  not much activities other than going to the beach or the movies.  Over all, THE BEST VACATION SPOT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
