  1. i never have had anything stolen.

that said i think you need to be very careful with your personal possessions(anything valuable)

    keep talking with princess.

    they should help you.

  2. I've never had anything stolen on any cruise I have been on.  Princess, Royal Caribbean, Disney and NCL.   And I have left things out in the open in my room, money, watches, jewelry, etc.  NOTHING has ever been taken.

  3. I had a client who actually left their new digital camera in their cabin when they disembarked.  Within a couple of hours of leaving the ship she contacted me, I contacted Princess immediately.  This cruise was in January of 07 and as of today they still have not received anything back.  They filed the correct paperwork, gave the cabin number, cabin stewards name etc..and as of today still have not gotten a response back from Princess.

As far as being stolen, are you for sure it was stolen?  was it stolen on the ship and did you make a claim immediately at the Information desk?  or did you wait until you returned home?  How Princess handles this is dependant on when you discovered the item was stolen and how soon you reported it.

Good luck, hope they treat you better and you receive some type of compensation.

  4. I've also been on several cruises, including Princess, and I have never ever had anything stolen.

  5. Over 100 cruises under my belt - on Princess and just about every other cruiseline operating (and some that don't operate anymore).

Never had anything stolen - ever.

Also was in the travel industry over 30 years and was a Tour Director for 10 years traveling with large groups of people.......

Never had a piece of luggage missing, stolen, lost or broken into.

In spite of the "news" and horrid reports from people who have experienced these occurances, they are extremely rare.  Things that happen in travel make good "media headlines".
