If you or someone you know has been suffering with an infection or wounds that just won't heal with antibiotics, have you tried using Manuka Sterile Honey products from New Zealand as an alternative medicine? I just read about this brand of honey and would like to find out if this is a scam or if there is something valid to it. Please let us know if you have tried the honey and if you got satisfactory results.

  1. Hello Mr.Frudd,

That particular honey remedy sounds interesting.  I will have to give it a try next time I have a cut.

  2. Yes on someone with MRSA- brill !

  3. Yes, Helicobacter Pylori can be cured using manuka honey, but I don't think there are any other treatments for it...Try the honey and see. It won't do any harm if it turns out you weren't sick and it's probably a good medical alternative to drugs.

  4. I haven't tried that particular brand, since I only purchase local honey, but I have used honey on cuts, abrasions, and infections hundreds of times.  It works better than any OTC preparation.

  5. Manuka Honey is the best substance for healing infected wounds and one of the only things capable of healing MRSA-related Staph infections.  Manuka Honey has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that are far more powerful than antibiotics.  Manuka Honey draws moisture out of bacterial cells, making it impossible for the bacteria to survive.  It's similar to what happens when you pour salt over a slug.  The slug just shrivels up and dies.  Manuka Honey does the same thing to bacteria.

Just know that in order for Manuka Honey to be suitable for medical use, it should have a UMF rating of 10 or higher.  Anything lower than that won't be potent enough to heal infections.  Check the link below for more information and Manuka Honey products.
