  1. The system failed him.  He should have been protected.

    sniff

  2. This is very sad.   This baby clearly had a bad mother she couldn’t take care of a baby and she should have placed the child for adoption.  This girl gives teen mothers a poor name.  She did not read the instructions on how to prepare formula that is just carelessness. She knew she needed help but did not ask for it, she clearly expected people to be able to read her mind.

This baby was not in foster care he lived at a homeless shelter with his naïve teen mother.  The fact this girl never feed her baby during her 11 day hospital stay should have been warning signs. The baby should have probably been taken from her right then and there. But lets face it had the baby been taken you would have been having people complaining saying that this  poor girl deserved a chance to try and parent her baby.

  3. have you read about all the babies who die every day in the ghettos?  have youheard about all the kids abandoned by dads in the innercities?  what about kids killed by their mothers in lakes or thrown off the golden gate bridege.  having your own kids should be outlawed man.

dude, it doesn't ake it ok they died it means that foster care is not the reason for every thing in life.blame the world for adoptiona and foster care.  im adopted and im not an fing mass murderer

  4. I'm confused? This child was starved to death by his own mother! Child protective services wasn't even involved. How would they monitor the child if there was never a report? The catholic childrens aid society is NOT a state child welfare agency although they should have made a report if they were "monitoring" the situation.

This child wasn't in foster care at all!!!

    ETA-His MOTHER failed him!

  5. baby jordan wasn't in foster care -- per the article link you provided, he was in a homeless shelter with his mom.  How is the foster care system at fault for this?

  6. This also happens to people who raise their OWN children...not just in foster care!
