nope. that is why its impossible to compare kobe to jordan and say hes the best player in the world right now. oh and pierce cant bring his team to the play offs alone but kobe cant too, he needed odom, gasol, fisher and all the others. when you look at it, the lakers did have a better lineup when it came to debt cause the celtics really only had the big 3 and a handful of good role players while the lakers could go really deep, they practically had 2 lineups cause they're bench is a whole other lineup unlike doc rivers who would only use 8-9 players a game. its just that kobe choked in the finals, the the whole lakers team didnt do anything and the role players of boston stepped up. but bottom line is, pierce ate kobe alive. still think ray allen shouldve gotten the mvp though but a wins a win and a championships a championship =)

first of all Kobe did take the Lakers to the playoffs by himself 2 times.  Ya he lost both times in the 1st round to Pheonix who was a powerhouse and they almost won that series too.  Lamar isnt even an all star so why the h**l do people say he needed him like hes Pippen or sumethin.  odom is the most inconsistant player that ive seen in a while.  Paul Pierce needed 2 more hall of famers on his team and a ton of the best role players to win a championship.  Pierce is a top 5 SF but he did not give Kobe a beating.  And yes, JOrdan got his *** whooped every year until Pippen came along.

Well it did take jordan a while to win his first championship. And if you are talking about the celtics defense then no, nobody did that to jordan because zone defense wasn't allowed when jordan played. Paul didn't do anything but win 22 games out of 82 without kg and ray allen. paul isn't even the best player on the team he just played the best in the finals.
