  1. Well its fair to say australia is missing glen mgrath and in partculary shane warne. And now there isnt even magill or hogg to fall back on, in the spin department.

To a lesser extent langer is also missed, however the player that they will really miss is gilly.

Australia is going through a phase of transistion, and other sides like south africa and in partculary india are catching up quickly.

However they still got brett lee, who is the most lethal fast bowler among who are playing internationally, and stuart clarke is brilliant aswell. However johnson is struggling, but hes young, and it reamins to be seen what that young spinner is like. The bowling is considerably weakend without a class spinner. The pace department is fine, but not the spin, and thats going to be crucial in the 4 test matches in india in a few months time.

The batting is hampered by langer and especially gilly being retired, However Hayden, Ponting and hussey are class, inpartcular hayden and ponting, then clarke is very good, and symonds is a fluke to be honest.

However I will now say that south africa has a better pace attack than australia, and india overall has a much more balanced attack than both australia and south africa.

With the inclusion of sehwag, india also has the best batting lineup in the world.

Its going to be a real tussle between australia, south africa and india in the coming to the years to be number 1 in the world, inparticular india and australia.

  2. No - they are still the best team in the world.

  3. Australia has lost its color ever since Ricky Pointing became the captain. I think if they call for a vote he will have trouble getting a vote.

  4. Just going through a rough patch is all. We will survive, don't worry!

  5. NO.I think they r still on  top

  6. I dont think so...but they'll regain momentum for sure.....

but i i respect Australian side for what they've done to the cricket In these 10 years..

  7. Australian still remain the most powerful team compared to other teams be it bowling, batting or fielding. If a player who had good innings in last match don't make his best other players who were unable to make impact do play and take australia out of difficult situations. There are no players who had been in continious out of form. Players need motivation which was immensely provided by their former coach Buchanan which is taking away from their actual form of cricket. They will surely rise  again with same vigour and put the impact.

  8. yes of coz they hv lost.

  9. yes

  10. as bad-patch comes to every player, similarly it grabs Australian cricket team but i don't think AC lost it's color. they will be back in style in soon. They are the most strongest oppenent to any team ranked at the top 7.

  11. I don't think so. They are still the best team in the world.

  12. No i dont think we have lost our 'colour'..

Any team has a rough time re-adjusting to new players in the team..We lost 5 great players in the last 2 years. But also we have had another shake up in loosing our long standing coach in John Buchanan..

Any team who has lost greats like-

    Shane Warne

    Justing Langer

    Damien Martyn

    Glen McGrath and

Adam Gilchrist, would also be going through a 'rough patch'..

We are still number 1 in the world that's the main thing...

So Nalaka what do you think will happen to India when Sachin,Dravid,Ganguly and Laxman retire??

And also their is Sri Lanka with Jayasuria..How will they cope?

  13. Yes.  Australia are slowly loosing their superiority though they are still No.1 team in cricket

  14. They have lost many great players at a time. Nobody actually replaced them because of poor performance they just retired. of course it will affect any team if its 4 or 5 great players retire at a time. It takes some time to find the right replacement. But I am sure Australia will find good replacement .
