Has Big Brother society reached an all time high with a new database for phones and emails?

Its not often I'm stopped in my tracks but today I read on the cover of the Times the following article:

Is this the end of privacy as we know it? Or.... as some politicians would argue a way to prevent crime and terrorism?

You know, I wonder if George Orwell ever imagined that his famed fictious book would become a fearful reality.

  1. To me they'd be wasting their time because there are loads of people who for various reasons are on the net a lot.  It'd be like looking for that proverbial needle.


  2. lt's not just the big things, it's the little things as well. Our children won't know what freedom is, and l feel sorry for them. lt's a big price to pay.

  3. It is utter bullsh.  Milions & millions of messages will be saved for a handful of govt. workers to go through.

    What a waste of time, but it sounds like easy work for those hired to go through the records, & a nice pension at retirement too.
