  1. U MONSTER DONT KILL SHARKS! THEIR IN DANGER! ONCE THEIR NOT IN DANGER, U COULD CONTINUE....BUT ILL STILL HATE U!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Probably not.  The single shark species in Canadian waters is not the one that get caught for fins.  It would be like banning elephant hunting.

  3. In 1994, Canada introduced a ban on shark finning in Canadian waters, but in its final stages the ban could not be effectively enforced.

Other international organizations such as the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) and the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC) have banned finning in Eastern Pacific Waters (2004 and 2005, respectively).

Unfortunately, the poster above me is incorrect in two ways:

    1) Almost all sharks are killed for their fins

    2) Canada is home to more than 14 species of shark that frequent her waters at least occasionally.
