  1. They were ready. You shoulda seen the air quality a year ago. They did a great job.

  2. They've done a wonderful job so far. A lot of fans complain about the Chinese crowds that cheer really loudly so you can't hear the commentators, but I love that. Even though there are non-Chinese athletes, there are still a lot of cheers for them. I makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.

  3. They did a wonderful job, even tho some of the things were fake at the opening ceremony it was still the prettiest i've ever seen

  4. It's okay I guess. It's not as good as everyone is/was bragging about it. It's looks just like any other Olympics I've seen.

  5. i guess

  6. yes, cus they are owning everyone in gold.

  7. Yes I think they have better than everyone had previously expected

  8. yes- they are good hosts and are doing very well themselves

  9. i have no complaints

  10. they did a good job I thought, but no as good as Sydney 2000

  11. The best answer for this question would come from the delegates themselves. What we see on TV may not be accurate enough to say whether they did a good job or not.  Doing a "good" job entails excellent and smooth running operations in all competitions, cateriing to all needs to its delegates and a godzillion more other concerns.

  12. I like it so far. Nice stadiums and good competitions so far.

  13. I think China's done the best. London definitely won't and can't compete with it. (Even the news reporters on TV said so) The opening ceremony was absolutely stunning. =3

  14. They have done a great job as the host country! The money that have been invested into the Beijing Olympics has definitely paid off!

Although there are things that could have gone a bit smoothly, but overall, like most of the other countries that have hosted the Olympics, it is a job well done!

And to the Mohammad K, you are an idiot... take a class in economics and redefine your understanding of the term "third- world"

  15. Very bad. I would give them 59% out of 100%. But China is a 3rd world country so what do you expect

  16. Yeah I'd say so. The stadiums were nicely built and the Bird's Nest is pretty cool. People complain about China's lead in gold medals, but you have to think about how the US had the most golds when it was hosted in Atlanta.

  17. No they've done terrible they make it alot harder on other countries epically ones they don't like. like the USA since where not Communist

  18. Definitely.  They created beautiful stadiums, put on a great, if not the best, opening ceremony, and changed so much of the city just for the games.  China cleaned up the air by stopping driving and factory production near the stadium, fixed signs and menus to be tourist friendly (and unconfusing - I'm Chinese, and believe me, Chinese people have a knack of having bad English translations that scare foreigners!).  Also, many taxi drivers studied English in the event that they will pick up a foreign passenger, and that way they will be able to communicate with each other.  They've done a fantastic job, and their athletes are doing great!  Second by a tiny margin in medals, and soaring above the competition in gold medals.  Go China!  :)

  19. i think they've created too much controversy and people are angry about the little girl on opening day and child gymnasts and biased scoring. they may have done a good opening ceremony but other than that nothing out of the ordinary.
