Has ESPN finally worn you down?

Favre, Manny, Pacman, Chad Johnson...a typical west coast fan can't help but not give a sh*t.

Plus, what's up with NFL Live being on year round?

Wednesday Night Baseball? Please. [InsertFavoriteAmericanLeagueTeam] vs. the Boston Red Sox. They might as well syndicate NESN.

I lived off this network when it was actually decent in the 90's, but I loathe it today.

  1. we all know ESPN really stands for

    Eastcoast

    Sports

    Programming

    Network.

no surprise their headquarters are on the east coast. even if the west coast teams were good they wouldnt cover them.

  2. Very true! im sick of hearing about the same c**p on ESPN

and tired of watching baseball tonight cuz all they talk about is

    the

    yankees

    red sox

    mets

stupid national league teams that suck

    Im tired of east coast.

omg, im watching around the hourn right now and theyre gonna talk about the angels....What a first!

    Go Angels!

  3. Hey you're wrong buddy they have brought us the greatest thing ever...

  4. Maybe if the West Coast could get a dominant team, then they could get some attention. The Angels are the best team, but have no personality or controversy or anything that ESPN can use to draw ratings. You need to have a big market team with some controversy or storyline to get attention these days. It sucks, but thats how it goes.

  5. I love Sports so I watch it.   But I get tired of the self promotion ESPYs and the sorry X Games.

They are so absorbed with the Red Sox "Nation".   They do some things great and some things are old.  Let the Football season rest, NFL Live in Football season and Draft time.

  6. Wow yeah...hey they showed the Angels last night...and even if they can't figure out if they are from Anaheim or Los Angeles, they are still on the West Coast (and I know they were playing the Red Sox)...and actually Wed. Night Baseball is Brewers vs. The Cubs so get your info right...man am I sick of people bitching about ESPN...just ignore it...and I think I am going to take my own advice and ignore any "ESPN is so biased...boo hoo" question from now on.

  7. Yea why don't we talk about the Raiders and 49ers? Yea lets talk about the Giants and A's huh? Maybe it was "decent" in the 90's because the West Coast teams were good then.

ESPN does not have a East Coast bias. They have a winning team bias. And if the teams were coincidentally all on the East Coast now, then they should cover it all. And don't give me the c**p about them always covering the Red Sox because all I've been seeing it Cubs Brewers nowadays. Oh maybe it has to do with the fact those 2 teams are both winning and in a close divisional race.

ESPN is a sports NEWS network. It covers what's new. There is nothing new going on in the West Coast. If McFadden does what Peterson did, don't you think ESPN will be fawning over him?

Don't give them grief for doing their jobs.

EDIT-"Typical Red Sox fan". And you say I'm good at excuses? Is that not the BS that comes out of EVERYONE whenever a Red Sox fan makes a legitimate point? Can you tell me how my answer is wrong? Is ESPN not a news network for the public? Do you see CNN airing local news from a 300 people town in Ohio? Yea that's what I thought. I live on the West Coast so don't tell me that I don't care about what happens here. I do but I have plenty of local networks and the internet to keep track of things. ESPN is for the general public and maybe not as diehard fans as you or I so they can't broadcast everything. Do you really fault them for airing the big stories?

  8. i was never an espn fan.. i don't watch that anymore.

they cater to the majority of the public and what the majority of the public wants they get because its all about the $$

i'm not the majority of the public so yeah.. i don't get what i want.. that sucks :(

i get the fact that boston, yankees, winning teams, controversy etc etc get all the attention okay i get it! i'm not denying anything. but it seems like you need a controversial player or some rare disease in the clubhouse that causes stomach pain for you to be on the program for at least 1 minute or two.

p.s. oh yeah and the whole espn showing angels thing if you ever hear the announcers all they talk about is the other team..  so in someways its worse.. ehh whatever no more complaining. i'm not complaining anymore.

  9. ESPN drives sports in this country now. There is an entire generation of fans who have no idea what it was like before ESPN and who believe everything those nitwits say. " I heard it on ESPN, so I know it's true." ESPN doesn't just report the news nowdays. They have crossed over the line and actually try to create sports history by constantly telling the viewer who is the greatest ever or what team is the greatest ever. It's pathetic. Like last year's Who's Most Now contest and this year's joke of Titletown USA.........I also love how these  morons( ESPN, not the fans) keep complaining about how the Favre story won't go away. Well, it won't go away because they won't let it go away!

  10. ya im sick of the sh*t

  11. best d**n sports show

  12. All I'm sick of is the attention Fox and ESPN giving so much d**n attention to the Yanks and Red Sox. It is them who have

boosted the Yankees and Red Sox to my most hated teams in Baseball list

  13. I AM TRY OF THE  BRETT FAVRE STORY, AND SHOULD FOOTBALL NOT BE LIMITED TO ITS SEASON, COME ON MORE YANKEES

  14. yeah, dont forget ever since yesterday all they have been talking about is the braves want to trade Mark Teixeira. the favre thing will go on forever even when he signs, then they will always talk about how he will fit in with his new team. and imagine it doesnt work out in green bay with a rodgers than we will hear how dumb the packers were for the whole year, yipee cant wait for that. they are all over pacman being on the cowboys its so boring we all now what the dude is packing they are called guns.

  15. ESPN blows!! If ESPN were to covers a west team it would be the Phillies. All they cover is the East coast.

I didn't think you could spend 24 hours a day talking about Favre  but ESPN has proven me wrong. You can cover Favre for 24 hours a day and not say one important thing.

  16. Yes, today media is just too d**n annoying...

Nobody gives a c**p about Brett Favre having a Packers cell phone or that the Vikings were caught on tampering charges

Its kinda sad where it gets to the point where football is talked about more in the offseason than the regular season.

Yes, I do believe that the Red Sox get too much TV time and dont give teams like the Rangers, the Brewers, and the Rays any chance to prove themselves to the Nation

ESPN was once a reliable network where I could go to watch quality sports highlights and get good analysis but now its just annoying.

  17. I AM JUST SICK OF NOTHING BUT BRETT FAVRE ON SPORTSCENTER...GIVE ME MORE BASEBALL!!!...SO YES IT IS STARTING TO WEAR ME DOWN LOL

  18. I know. I'm tired of it. I defintely could care less too since I'm on the West Coast. I think these stories is all ESPN really cares about. What about Ziegler a rookie on the A's? He broke a 101 year old record! It seems like no one even cares, but I do.

  19. a agree too but why do they not give a c**p about the west coast  teams like the angels they one of the best teams for the past 3 years and the ducks winin the title last year no one gave a c**p

    that just pisses me off

  20. Sunday night baseball was unbearable this week. Every other word was a praise for the Red Sox. As a Yankee fan, i shouldnt complain, but enough is enough. Peter Gammons is also out of control- he can be talking about any subject but he has to throw in that the Red Sox are amazing and the Yankees suck. Sounds like " very unbiased " commentary to me.

  21. I agree - they are always talking about the same stuff. But looking at it from their point of view, they are talking about things that draw the highest ratings. It's the viewer's fault for supporting the garbage they talk about.

  22. Yes.

Continually they bias the Red Sox's, Yankees, and Cubs.

I understand those teams bring more viewers, but it seems those teams are on every time there's baseball on ESPN.

    Absolutely tired of it.

Why can't we have different teams play for a change.

Favre, Favre, Favre. That's all they talk about.

I understand he's a legend, but they talk about him every ten minutes.

    Enough is Enough.

NFL Live should be called 'Favre Live'.

Seriously, Brett Favre did this did that.

    Jack

  23. ESPN.....ha they dont talk enough football. NFL Network!!!!
