You're kidding right? Chappell, & that is Greg BTW, not Greig,couldn't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, & the arrogance of the players & officials got in the way of good coaching. This is what amazes me, these teams are keen to get foreign coaches, but then treat them like dirt under their feet. When the team fails, as it inevitably does, they then call for the coaches head! Why not get their coaches from their own country? I will tell you, they need to have someone from another country to blame their failures on & save face. Don't you see how wrong this is? If it wasn't so pathetic, i would laugh.

I do not think that Greg Chappell destroyed Indian cricket. Geoff Lawson has not destroyed Pak cricket.

Having said this, I wonder: Is Geoff Lawson a worthy coach for a national team ? Was he good as a player in the first place ? No. Pakistan should have taken Kepler Wessels.

i think greig didnt destroy india......he created a good pool of youngsters who are paying rich dividends now..........

the world cup....i think should have been dealt with differrently by chappell..........

but these things just happen in cricket......

i think so , as the amature pakistani team like india is very talenented and nearly won the world cup .

look at the way indian team matures  and how their team matures ,  this is due to bad coaching and guidence .

i think they are good without coaching , as in pakistani team jouniers respect seniors very much .
