  1. in a word >>>  NO

  2. nothing at all he must go

  3. He kept us out of a recession when the rest of the world were worse affected. If the Conservatives were in they would have done what they had done before and put VAT up and add more tax to household bills, take away pensioners free eye tests and told us that if we want to use public services we should expect a second rate service compared to paying private. If the Conservatives were in everybody would also be unemployed and having their house repossessed.  It's great now compared to what it was like then.

  4. He hasn't been in power long enough to make a significant change. It's easier to look back on the last 10 years instead. Then I'd have to say yes. Better public transport, more freedom (Freedom of Information, etc), more prosperity, cleaner environment.

And those people who reply with foul language - you're just making yourself look stupid! Nobody will ever take you seriously if you have to resort to this kind of language.

  5. Hasn't had the time, really. We've only had one budget under his premiership and I'll judge how effective that has been at the end of the year. And as long as I'm still getting by, I'll base my judgement on how many more people are better off, I personally don't mind making sacrifices for the underprivileged, I have a very good life. Brown has also struggled with the deficit and has been wrangling often with issues beyond his control i.e. the world economy. Anna123 made some good points; nobody is suffering as of yet (and if you think anyone is, by God you are an ungrateful idiot with no sense of perspective) and no public services have been affected dramatically during his tenure. The fact that they haven't grabbed the nettle or made any group the fallguy has been an accomplishment. The budget made minor concessions in order to deal with short-term problems.

  6. Jack diddly sh**. All I've done since he's been in the seat is cut back on everything and watch every penny I spend.

  7. Would yuou all have answered this a year ago the same way.  Would you have all said no when he was chancellor.

    for myself...

He has done nothing for me any other government would hve done.  The Labour Party has been of no benefit at all.

  8. nope, not a thing, the only person to benifit from gordon brown being ' given ' the prime ministers roll is the brown family.

  9. Jack s**t !  All he has done is cost me money !

  10. No. But he has probably helped people to be more aware of doing embarrassing things with your face in public and it's not a good thing if that's all they remember you by..... ;-)

Edit: In saying that, I will 'never ever' vote Tory, so with the debatable current and the no-chance future, it has only confirmed to me, why some choose to be a self-contained recluse, then a tax-laden-prisoner... ;-((

  11. I think 'bails' meant that it  p***** her off that she could not vote for who was to become PM.

The parties my very well decide, but by my basic understanding of democracy I would have liked too.

And to answer the question, no GB have done nothing at all for me, only punish my by taxing me to the hilt!

  12. Not a thing.

  13. Nothing, the sooner he goes the better.

  14. You cant be serious ?  Now let me think.....well my answer is simply b.... nothing but heartache. My Pension dwindles by the day, as food now is going up...and this is how we have to live after a lifetime of working. I would have been better off on the dole , and sat all day doing nothing for my Country. All this lot do is to sap the life out of you.

  15. Nothing at all and it galls me that I haven't voted for him to be PM

  16. No...but I didn't expect him to.

  17. He hasn't made it worse like the Tories will. Still early days for GB, to make up my mind about him.

Edit: @ bails: how can it gall you that you haven't voted for him to be PM when you haven't voted for anyone to be PM, the parties decide on that.

  18. sweet ***** all.

not even a duly elected by the people PM, and it has been mostly his doing as Chancellor that we are in the doo doo now, you can blame a world recession, but he was in charge of the purse strings and many people aren't going to forgive him for pensions, and the current debacles like Northern Rock.

  19. Yes. Without him we would have to resort back to the c**p Tony Blaire jokes. The ones with him in are much funnier.
