Has Indian cricket team lost interest to win matches ?

Former cricketers say that present India might be better than them but money has become more important than playing for nation.They said that they have also lost matches but they were not so relaxed like today's cricketers do.They were seeing smiling faces of Indian youngsters as if they have won the match.IPL has got better of Indian cricket as they are performing poorly after IPL.Before IPL,They had won CB series in Australia and fought bravely against Australia in test series.

Well I don't think that they have totally lost interest in the game. Yes, it isn't the end of the world if they don't win, because they still do get money, but when you play for your nation, no matter how much money means to you, you just don't lose interest. Also, if they don't do well, they do lose their houses, which is not a bonus, so if anything, they play so they don't waste their money on new houses. India just has to work really hard,. They are an amazingly strong side, if they put their mind to it. You never know, they might have this hug, random comeback during the ODI series....

No matter what I said, I am a HUGE Sri Lankan fan. Sri Lanka is on a roll, they are even more amazing and they will definitely win both series!!! Go SRI LANKA!!!!! :)

You have made some very good points here Shailish, but I doubt you will get many other Indians to agree with you. I think India has just played itself out & should take a long break, like permanently.

My friend,

     Its not that Indians have lost the intrest in the matches they are playing now a days but the thing is that they are not able to do the work properly...

For example when Irfan Pathan was brought into the team in the early days, he was really excited and he used to take most of the wickets and he was the star performer then and later every team has come with a strategy hw to play in his bowling and learnt to hit at his bowling now...

Similarly and recently Ishant Sharma was brought in and he proved his skill and became the main bowler bt now again every team has learnt hw to control and play on the field even in his bowling...

In the same way Indian team has to now learn hw to play with the new Spinner Ajantha Mendis in Srilanka and am sure that they will surely come back with rocking victories...

Every team needs to improve their performance but it may take sometime...

Shalilesh, man, calm down! Every day you seem to post some weird questions... " Is team India bunch of prima donnas?" " Are Indian fans all morons?" "Is cricket killing Indian sport?". What is your problem with Indian cricket. I'll tell you why Australia, South Africa, etc. are better than India at cricket... because they don't attack players' character after just a single loss.

No it is not they have lost interest in winning,they just can't win.No matter what they try,the other teams just cream them,like Sri Lanka did last night..
