I'm a Yank, but one with close English roots and I visit every year for a couple of weeks.

IMHO, Britain is in decline, and it makes me sad.  The once great empire is no more.  You are a country selling out your culture and history to immigrants, and your liberal social programs are killing you.  And what have you gotten in return?  Terrible crime and uncontrolled immigration to people who are not assimilating.

The U.S. is on the same track, it won't be long (a generation or two, tops) before we're in the same toilet with you.  A thank you to the Clintons and Bushes for that, as well.

They do appear to have lost control of some elements of the economy but most of our problems have been caused by a selflish and greedy society who took advantage of an inept government and greedy banks who were out there to make huge profits from silly people. Some global issues are out of this government's control.
