  1. He should retire or choose to play for another team. He's actually the only Leafs player I have any respect for and I think he deserves a better team.

  2. i dont think so ,no

  3. Well, I really hope not.  Sundin is a gifted hockey player and he has proven that even at 37 / 38 years of age he is still in the elite talent in the league.  He played brilliantly this past year and carried a team of underperformers on his back all year.

However, herein lies the rub.  The Leafs are not going to be a Cup contender for years with the way they are managing the team.  Right now, they have Sundin, Kaberle, and Toskala who are NOT disappointments... that means there are a lot of other holes on that team.  If I were Sundin, I would be severely concerned that another year of playing for this team would simply lead to more life-long aches and pains with no possibility for glory.  Sundin is not hurting in his retirement fund so he doesn't need to come back.

I say that he retires!  He doesn't really want to but you have to jump off a sinking ship at some point and that time seems to be now.

      Sincerely,

a disappointed Leaf fan who sees several more upcoming years of missing the playoffs as a great possibility.

  4. He is a h**l of a player, I think he should be like Ray Bourque and request a trade. That way he could finish his career a winner.
