Everyone seems to have their two cents to say about Palin herself and McCain's decision making skills, but has anyones opinion, preference or vote actually changed because of it?

  1. Yes many here is why . Here is what a member of her own party said, a conservative Republican Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman, for once he got it exactly right: "If John McCain's campaign thinks he can get Hillary Clinton voters by choosing Palin it is condescending and insulting to women and it is a terrible political faux pax. You don't break through a glass ceiling because of gender or race, you do it on the basis of ability, experience, intelligence and judgment -- all qualities that Governor Palin either sorely lacks or has yet to demonstrate This is a stunt pick that is an insult to truly qualified women like Hillary Clinton or Kay Bailey Hutchison and, by extension, to all women"

  2. No. It only reinforces what I've suspected all along -- the man has lost his mind. I'm voting for Obama -- or maybe writing in Jon Stewart.

  3. Freedom forever, you are a literalist. You cannot see the meaning behind her answer. here's my interpretation: she wanted to know how serving as VP would benefit her rather than her serving a better capacity as governor of Alaska.

and for some reason, whoeverposted that clip "forgot" the include her response... i wonder why. you Dems are so predictable.

  4.   No, it hasn't changed my vote. It's still for Obama. What scares me is the thouhgt that McCain might get in office, die, and have some PTA mom making decisions on nation security,or even worse, her finger on the nuke button. If something like this happens I want Joe Biden's finger on that button.

  5. It has changed mine. I was firmly Bob Barr's man, not trusting McCain to be strong enough in support of the Second amendment and life.

I have been against Repocrats since Nixon/ McGovern, but this time I will be voting for the VP training to beat Hillary in 2012.

  6. This woman (Palin) has more substance than O'bama, Biden, The Clinton(s), Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, Reverend Wright, Charles Rangel and Rev. Al Sharpton all put together!! She's a class act and if any of the liberal progressives REALLY want change, they would elect more REAL people like Sarah Palin!!!  Think about it!!

  7. The ones who were sitting on the fence have decided to go with McCain-Palin.

They know Palin is a far cry from Hillary, but so is Obama.

They were very upset that Obama didn't choose Hillary for VP since she won the People's Votes and is more qualified than Obama and Biden put together.

They feel McCain has displayed Change more than Obama.  And, Palin is more experienced than Obama.

They are also looking at McCain-Palin 2008 and Hillary-Whoever 2012.

  8. Yes it sealed my vote

    Independent going with McCain/Palin

  9. She's a gimmick..you know it, we know it, attacking her will make you sexist...so you have to not attack her...insulting her will make you a bully you cant insult...she was chosen to be the new Hillary in a hope that all Hillary fans will drop Hillary and move to her...once again she was chosen to get the 18 million...no matter what her background is.

  10. Yep I wasn't going to vote for McCain. I was going to write Ron Paul in but now i'm going vote for  McCAin after he picked her. i was hoping he was going to pick the gov from Alaska

  11. No I was never going to vote for obama but I am glad he picked Palin

  12. Good question. My vote for Obama-Biden is the same but my opinion for McCain has worsened a little. I'm open and respect different view points even though I don't agree with some so i'm not just trying to hate on McCain.  Choosing Sarah Palin as VP was a clever strategy because it will get him some more votes but I don't like it. Don't get me wrong Palin seems like a nice interesting lady but it's obvious to me that she's only part of his strategy. There were other much more potential candidates. McCain would continually say,"Obama is inexperienced, too young bla bla" but with this he is going against his argument. So what i'm trying to say is that in my opinion McCain is only doing this to win as if in a contest or game. This is NO game. Obama could've chosen Hillary as vp candidate to gain attraction but instead he chose Biden because he knows he is very qualified for the better of the country(not contest). People,  I know your decision is set on whoever it is but don't vote just because of personal issues. A friend of mine is voting for McCain only because his dad and uncle are republicans. Out of a lot of people in my family I was the only one to vote for Obama, they all voted for the same person, some because other people in the family were voting for that person. Don't vote because of race, s*x, pressure, hate, etc. Just vote because you actually believe this candidate(whether Obama or McCain) will change and improve the country in a positive way from the recession and negativity from the last presidency. Have a great weekend :)

  13. Maybe conservatives... but i know after this i doubt i will vote for him...

  14. Yes. I was undecided now, but McCain sealed it for me by selecting an inexperienced airhead for VP.

    I'm going for Obama.

  15. It has made me a McCain supporter.

Up til now I've been pretty disapointed with him but I see him as a one term president because of age and Sarah as someone real good to take on the Libs next election.

  16. Changed mine to McCain!  She is a pro-gun, pro-life, conservative.  she has proved to be a fiscal conservative in her state, the people of Alaska overwhelmingly favor her.  She apparently lives what she preaches and gave birth to her Downs baby knowing so.  I think she is a woman of principle which is a little foreign to Washington completely alien to the left.

  17. While it hasn't effected mine, after looking on various Political sites comments areas nearly everything has been negative, hardly anybody outside of the GOP is buying this ticket, i hear Hillary supporters call this 20 times worse than Obama not picking Hillary.

  18. Not mines...im still voting for Obama!

  19. I don't think it will affect that many Hillary voters but it will affect Pro-Life types and I think also "generic" working women

Freedom forever - A VP does nothing!

  20. It affected mine.  I wasn't going to vote for McCain.  Now I am.

  21. I am definitely not voting for McCain now.

  22. Personally it has reinforced my support for McCain because he chose a strong convicted conservative for VP.
