Question:

Has McCain silenced the only legitimate pro-Obama argument the liberals had?

The liberals in my city are fuming over McCain's choice of a woman VP. The only effective argument they had against McCain was that he's another George Bush and electing him would not be a change. They fully expected him to choose a plain vanilla, rich white guy, and when the news came accross our computers that he didn't, the F word flew freely and loudly.

They can't very well go on and on about how historic Obama is because Palin is historic also. They can't risk insulting working mothers, and of course arguing her inexperience opens up a huge can of worms for Obama as well.

So what do you think their new strategy be?

  1. "The liberals in my city are fuming over McCain's choice of a woman VP."

    Whatever.

  2. Good insight.

The CHANGE mantle has just shifted to the McCain Camp,

and unlike Obama,  McCain did not have to shift his message or political views to include Palin on his ticket.

Obama has chosen an old washington insider (Biden)...Status-Quo guy withthe same old Washington politics as usual.

Also Obama is still a far left Anti-American radical from the bowels of Jeremiah Wright   ....this stigma will remain on Mr. Hussein!

  3. I would have prefered that he pick Romney, but McCain is a gambler and he could turn out to be crazy like a fox. This election just got even more interesting. The plot thickens....

  4. No, now there are more things at stake than ever, such as do we really want to be teaching our kids that the earth is only 5,000 years old? Should women who are raped be forced to carry their rapists chldren? Is someone from a state with fewer than 700,000 people, and a mediocre college education at best, be expected to step up and be the leader of the free world?

How is Palin historic? Geraldine Ferraro was a female VP nominee 30 years ago.

  5. Yes, 100% pretty much. It's truly hilarious to see them slobbering.

  6. The Democrat's theme in 2004 was "John Kerry is not George Bush".  We saw how well that worked for them.  I expect similar results this year.

  7. No, they have lots of legitimate policy arguments. e.g., Does McCain want to continue the war in Iraq? Will McCain get us into war with Iran? Will McCain cut taxes for the middle class? How will McCain deal with health care?, etc.
