Has Mickleson lost his mind?

Question

I read an article that said he didn't carry a driver in his bag Saturday so that he could carry 5 - yes FIVE - different wedges. And then today he needs the same wedge 4 - yes FOUR - times to get on the green. How ironic is that?

Apparently he has also been telling people that his putting is messed up because he has been doing so much stretching that he is 1" taller!

Is he becoming a freak sideshow?

He played with the extra wedge on Thu and Friday.  He had the driver in his bag today.  The guy went to ASU and studies Psychology - of course he lost his mind.   Probably the biggest head case in the history of golf.

I think so.  Today (Saturday) after dropping out of contention, he was bubbly and gave a reasonably long end of round interview, where he was not upset for losing a major.  I mean 4 wedge shots, from roughly the same place, by the world's second best, it's as if he does not care anymore.

In contrast look at Tiger, he's playing with an injured left knee, and he continues to amaze me with his determination.

i dont know. but you have to understand growing up in san diego he has probably played torrey pines more than anyone else on tour. guess he was going with that experience. and yes he has lost his mind. who doesnt take driver with the to the US Open. in the words of Carlos Mencia D D D

Not only his mind, but his golf game, too!  

I don't know what has happened to Phil.  I was a big fan of his when he attended Arizona State.  He always was able to mount a final round rally.  

Maybe, he has just come to the conclusion that golf isn't everything, but it's a nice way to make a living and to take care of the family.  There's nothing wrong with that, either.

He said that he did not carry the driver because he did not want to driver further than 300 yards due to the dog leg fairways. Hitting further than that would put him in the rough every time.

Whos Phil? I feel sorry for Callaway. Their pinup boy is a looney. Well atleast not as bad as Sergio and TaylorMade. Havnt even won a major. Does Nike even sell that much clubs with Tiger? I mean Tiger is probably the best in the game right now... but who actually uses Nike clubs? Not much.
