Ronnie O’Sullivan has won 22 rankings event titles and just as many non-rankings event titles - a superb amount by professional standards. However, it’s difficult not to think that he should have far more under his belt by now because of his huge natural talent.

Stephen Hendry has won 36 rankings event and 38 non-rankings events during his career. There’s no reason why the Rocket should not be approaching this number by now, but all too often he has allowed his concentration to slip at crucial moments in matches. Has he underachieved?
