For the record, John McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone, which at that time was a US territory, although it isn't anymore.  So he is still eligible to be president, too.

Or are you getting sucked into the false hysteria that OMG, he really isn't a citizen. You do know that it is simply gossip, and not a fact, right?

edit-  people can sit here and argue all allegations, or politics. The question is about simple and real facts, if the poster wants to know if he is a citizen or not.  No matter what someone thinks of his background or policies.. some things are yes/no facts.

He has an image of his birth certificate on his web site.  To my knowledge, no one in the government, nor in the McCain campaign has disputed that he was born in Hawaii.  Obama exists, and we did not have the technology back then to spawn humans in a petri dish.  Do you doubt that he was, in fact, born?

To my knowledge, McCain has never posted anything proving that he was born, nor did he put an image of the stone tablet certifying his birth up for public scrutiny.
