Has Palin's Daughters Pregnancy Opened The Doors For You To Speak To Your Kids About s*x & Pregnancy?

Palin would probably hate me now but after my 14 year old son saw the report on tv, he was more disgusted by it than I was. He looked right at me and asked why someone who is running for vice president has a daughter who is pregnant. I tried to explain (make excuses for their family) and simply gave up. Instead, we discussed relationships, s*x, birth control and why he should be extra careful if and when he does become sexually active.

Did anyone else take a moment to speak to their kids?

Been there done that. No matter what party one might be it all starts at home. You have talk to them, then you have to be the example, and then you have to be there. You can't just look like your walking the walk on the surface.

No, I've never had a problem speaking to our teenagers and their friends about s*x, STD's and unwanted pregnancies.

Our President says that abstinence only s*x education is the was and since I agree with him 90% of the time I think we should stay the course.

If the tramp-like decision that Palin's daughter made has to be the catalyst that makes you talk to your teenager about s*x and pregnancy, you need some parenting classes.

No. Not because of any politician. My oldest son is 12. My wife and I ave a little.

Good for you. I think every parent should be honest with their kids about s*x. Maybe Palin should have been like that.

But it's hard to resist temptation when girls are this hot.

OBAMA'S MOTHER DOES NOT FIT ANY EQUATION FOR TIME FACTOR, POLITICALLY, ETC.

Obama's MOTHER is not under scruitiny for running for VPOTUS.

It's Palin's mothering, her children, descending, and so forth.

Obama's children will be held to the same scruitny (and MICHELLE) if this happens to one of their daughters--YOU CAN TAKE A HOLLYWOOD BET ON IT.

People on here don't get it--you have to compare apples to apples.

Obama's children--palin's children = same.

Obama's mother-palin's mother = same.

Obama's running and "his" direct family and fathering are in spotlight only.

Palin's running and "her" directy family and mothering are in spoltight only.

I don't have kids, but this is a good question.  I work with teenagers, however, and most of them seem to be harder on Palin and her daughter than the adults.

Actually, I just made my daughter take a 'purity pledge'.

Plus, she knows that if she gets pregnant before marriage, that I'm going to kick her out of the house.
