Has Red Bull really gone horny?
Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull has proclaimed very loud and clear that the team would go to any extent to get hold of the 2010 title.
He has not been scared to say that the team is being immensely "horny" for victory, although he accepts the fact that though this "does not make too much sense," yet this is exactly how it is going in the team.
Both the team members are currently amongst the strongest contenders for the season’s title. The Australian driver, Mark Webber currently leads the charts with two hundred and two points whereas Vettel stands at fourth place in
the Drivers’ Championship, being shy of just twenty one points from his teammate.
As he returned pointless from the Belgian Grand Prix, where Webber was able to stand at second place on the podium, a place behind Lewis Hamilton, it seemed that Vettel’s chances of the title have badly faded. However, his fourth
place finish in Italy now coupled with the second place in Singapore has one again brought him back to the title fight. By earning eighteen points in the last round he has further shrunk the gap between him and his team-mate as well as the charts’ topper Mark
Webber who stood third in last race, yet he still holds the top position.
The season still has to see another four races while a hundred more points are at drivers’ disposal, before the champion of the year could be announced at the last round of the season, to be held in Abu Dhabi.
At the Marina Bay track, all through the last weekend, including the practice as well as the qualifying the team was able to demonstrate a great pace thus making it clear to everyone that they were the fastest on the track.
Now as they returned from the race, the German driver stated, “We are Red Bull, we are in a unique position again this year and we are horny.”
He further continued telling, "We have now got four races, and it is very tight. I think any of the five drivers at the top of the Championship still have a very good chance.”
The season has evolved in a very uncertain and surprising manner. Anything is unpredictable while everything can be expected on the track. The season has witnessed a lot of drama, thrill, action and some great as well as flawless
racing spectacles around the year and a lot is yet to be unveiled.
The chances of winning are almost the same for all the top five racers as they stand at a difference of just twenty five points from each other after the last week’s race.
The Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso has already been written off for the Championship twice during the season and yet he is back in full force and aggression standing as the biggest threat for the title.
With this situation, the 23-year-old is adamant that the only key to victory now is consistency, who ever scores in all the last four races will be able to bag the victory and anyone who makes a single, no matter how minor, mistake
will be off the arena as the championship is really tight now.
Recently, Lewis Hamilton has lost his position in the Drivers’ Championship after walking out of both the last races pointless.
Well, whatsoever, the driver now, moves forward for the next round in complete zeal and zest as he said, "I think we have a very good chance. Korea is coming up which is unknown but, other than that, if you look at Japan, Brazil
and Abu Dhabi, I think we have a very strong car."
Another two weeks are to go and the next round of the season will be unwrapped amidst a lot of thrill and suspense at the Japanese Grand Prix.
