Has Ryan Day ever won a rankings event?

Despite being number six in the world rankings, Welsh 29-year-old Ryan Day has never won a rankings event. However, he has come agonisingly close on three separate occasions – first in 2007’s Malta Cup, then at the Shanghai Masters in the same year. His last appearance in a final came in 2008 at the Grand Prix, where he was beaten by John Higgins.
