Has Sarah Palin stolen McCain's Thunder?

I know that technically she is working with McCain but really... who's running for president here?I cannot recall ever seeing a potential vice president over shadow a potential president in the pres like she has. What do you think?

Although I like John McCain, I was on the fence and said I'd only vote for him if he chose a good vice presidential candidate (due to his age)...well he blew my vote...I can't vote for Sarah Palin...for a lot of reasons, but just because I am a mom and right now I think her family needs her a lot more than the country does.  What mother of a 4 month old Down's Syndrome child would be looking to work a MORE strenous job (not to mention a 17 year old pregnant daughter who is going to need her mother now, more than ever).  It's not that I don't think that a woman or mother (I am both) can't have a strenous job...it's just that right now, she is not thinking about her family at all.

I think is some ways yes.  We have not really heard that much about McCain.  Part of the reason for this is the constant criticism of Palin and her family.  Many seem to be more interested in her daughter's pregnancy rather than talking about actual issues.  Also, many are intrigued by his choice.  Again we have an opportunity to witness history being made not only on the Democratic side but the Republican side as well.  Her speech was almost as anticipated as Obama's acceptance of the Democratic nomination.  Many naturally are curious about what she brings to the table.  I still think that this was a bad choice for McCain but he asked for it.
