Has Technology Changed us for the Worst?

I am looking for arguments that go against this motion. Any answers are welcome.

My input: technology is not to blame, it is the blind application of technology without a proper understanding of its repercussions that causes trouble.  Technology didn't "change" us, we were the source of the problem.  Technology is merely a tool.  Any damage that the tool ultimately ends up doing is not the fault of the tool, but the fault of the one who irresponsibly uses the tool.
