It has helped me.

If it weren't for other yahoo mommies

I would've breastfed for 6months only. Now i want to do it for a year.

I would've let my son cry it out. (i thought babies could get spoiled!) Silly me =]

Just to name a couple. I've learned SO much from all of you guys <3

& more importantly

I've learned to ASK, not just assume wtv i know is the absolute truth.

What about you?

Not really.I was a great mom before.I am still just learning things though and have got some great tips and advice but nothing that made me a better mother.I just learned something new..A lot of what is on this site is just opinions anyways.Only about half of it is worth anything :D Its good that it helps others mommies though.

i think it helps alot!!! but only when you get real answers from real people and real mothers not people who act like they are real and send rude comments!!! but i like this site it&#039;s like having a bunch of friends that you cant see!!! i love it

For one... I very well may have given up on breastfeeding/ pumping much sooner and I never would have known that re-lactation was possible.

There are some very supportive and helpful moms here, thanks to all of you. : )

ETA:  I&#039;m in no way implying I&#039;m a &#039;better&#039; mom b/c I give my son breast milk.  I just wanted to clarify that.  I&#039;m just stating that a lot of people here have been very helpful regarding my personal situation.

Definatley.  Like you I prob would have given up b/feeding (I would not have found out about fenugreek and blessed thistle amoung other things) and may have used the CIO method (against my instinct and better judgement). I would prob have been pressured into weaning my son before 6 mths by my HV too.

This site has given me information but has also given me the confidence to believe in myself and my instincts.

It has! I&#039;ve learned SO many things...Its a good feeling when others can relate to the same problems that your having and help out! i love this site..OH and I&#039;m a new mommy...so i come on here all the time just to read questions and answers from new-baby section.

It has helped me out..

I use to believe in the cry it out method too....not realizing that it is not good for the baby or child.  After I had a discussion with it with a mom on here I researched it more and found out that I did not believe in it any more. I try to always meet my children&#039;s needs to the best that I can now vs. just letting them cry.  

I also have learned a lot about breastfeeding on here as well.  I didn&#039;t know that someone could relactate either. That was pretty interesting to find out. I also found out other ways to do certain situations that arise during breastfeeding.

I have also learned how to deal with doing eye drops for my kids and how to give them meds. Other moms tricky ways that Work!!!

I have learned a lot from other moms on here and they are very helpful but I think with any site there is going to be trolls which I don&#039;t like but there is nothing you can do about it.  But for the most part it is very informative site and you also get to talk to people and when you are a stay at home mom you really miss talking to people.

i&#039;ve learned a few tips, but, no, it hasn&#039;t made me a better mom. i think i was a great mom before i started going on here, and i still think i&#039;m a great mom!!
