  1. Sydney's first half of season was awesome- and uncharacteristically quick off the blocks!! Second half a bit disappointing, with injuries and all the Barry B.S- would love to see them come on strong to finish well up for finals, but Geelong this week is a toughie.

  2. My team have been pathetic.  Absolute shite!  I don't know why they don't slash their fookin wrists - pack of pathetic losers.  I want to see them fold and move to Tasmania - or worse .... Queensland.  I'm so ashamed I can hardly tell you the team they are or who they lost to .... well yes, the team they lost to was Collingwood.  I'm so ashamed.  I'm sorry.

  3. I support Geelong so the answer is probably obvious.  I am pleased that they are playing well, and that they are winning too.

I still think they handpass far too bloody much, but then they are 19/20 this year and won it in a canter in 2007...(well, the GF they won in a canter, the Prelim was a bit scary)...so they can play however they wish.

You can't say much to knock the best team in the league, (and the Greatest Team of All...).

    Long may it continue!

Looking beyond the Cats I am pleased to see the revival of the other Victoria-based clubs this year.  A Melbourne team has not won the flag since 2000 (Essendon), but with Collingwood playing well at the close of last year, and with Hawthorn and the Bulldogs having great seasons as well I have been impressed to see "the heartland" coming back to strength.

But, more power to Country Victoria and the cats from the bush!!

  4. Well as a Tigers supporter, we know about disapointment

Nah, the boys were playing some of their best footy this year.

Need to be able to beat the higher ranked teams.

Playing Geelong and Hawks twice didnt help our cause.

  5. As a WCE I have to say disappointed! Hopefully next year will be a little better

Footnote: How do we get rid of the trolls?? I don't know who they are, if i did I would block them (don't know if that really helps though...)

  6. Stop embarrassing urself dear

  7. Disappointed and even though I didn't expect them to get in the finals I certainly didn't think they would be in the running for the bloody wooden spoon.

Oh well bring on season 2009 things can only get better.

  8. Hello Rogue.

I am happy that Geelong wins.

I am disappointed that Andrew and his group of wankers did not allow me to see any footy on television for the THIRD year in a row. Sorry for my old rant, I get tired of it also.

At least I can listen on the Internet and then buy the DVD of last year's 3 Geelong finals games.

I have tried every way I know to watch footy on the Internet. Big Pond and the AFL site only work if you are in Australia. All the other web links that others have sent me do not work either.

Setanta North America is not available to me here in Salina, Kansas.

My other disappointment is with Geelong's injury woes. I know that others come in the side and the games move on. But injury is like a contagious disease. Other players seemed doomed by fate to go down before the end of September as Ablett, Chapman, Scarlett, Wojinski (sp?). These last 6 weeks are becoming a worry for me.

Sorry for the long answer, have a good weekend.

  9. well hello my freind(puting in a nice voice) yes the crows were playing very good this year. we were trying new players this year as in nick gill, brad moran, james sellar and bryce campbell to name a few. and they really stepped up includindg Kurtis tippet. Kurt tippet is an amazing mark and an amazing shot for goal from very tight angles.

i hope your team played well aswell. have a good 2009 for the afl season

  10. yeah i would say both because we lost eight in a row but we have won the last six out of eight so i think that's a pretty good improvement! I also have enjoyed watching all the young guys step up and take charge like Paddy Ryder, Kyle Reimers, Angus Monfries and David hille has been pretty good as well.

  11. I barrack for the Hawks, enough said.

  12. My team has impressed me nd immm soooooooooooo HAPPY that tha blues have improved sooooooo muchh. Last year people wouldve beeen saying carlton woooden spoooners 08(IM NOT ONE OF THOSE IDIOTS) butt loook at theeem theyre goiiin great and i love themmmmm.....

  13. Overall north melbourne has impressed me although there were some losses there that were disgraceful. I'm a happy fan so far this season.

  14. I hate it when low lives clone others! They have nothing else to do the bums haha

My team has also done both

The first half of the season we played shocking footy and we were in a real bad position but since then we have been playing great footy.

So my team has done both this year but at the moment i cant really complain about them.......well done bombers!

  15. I think Hawthorn has impressed on and off the field this year, and hopefully next year a premiership

  16. Learn how to spell Frogg dogg you f*****k w i t. Preferably in your own section.

    Freakin' league supporters... Sorry Rogue.

  17. tigers so i am very happy

  18. Yes Hawthorn have impressed me this year, after making the finals last year it was expected we would make it through this year. The hawks have delivered and did not fold under the extra pressure.

Recruited well with Rioli first year player has added another dimension up front

Hawthorn are a real chance in September, I will be disappointed if we don't win the flag or don't give the finals a real shake.

Geelong are deserved favourites and North Melbourne always impress me with there spirit

  19. I would have to agree with you Rogue, I am disappointed in the Pies, not just for their off field incidents, but their losses in supposedly "easy" games this year. After losing by such a small margin in the Prelim last year, I thought that the Pies would be better than ever in '08... I was wrong! On the other hand though, that win against Geelong was fantastic, and that impressed me (if only they could play like that every week!).

  20. I have to say I have been impressed with the Cats this year! How can I say that I am disappointed with them! They are playing better than ever!

  21. Sydney, I'm mostly impressed, they have won the games that should of but have lost a few games, they have lost a lot of games lately though

  22. I am very very impressed with Carlton this year. They have steped up, to where they should be: The Top 8.

They are a young group going places. I am very impressed by the youngesters: Kruze, Armfeild, Jamison.

We proably will not make the grandfinal this year...but we are going places.

Edit: I love yahooanswers when I am at school.

  23. For me it is a bit of both.

I support west coast so of course it is disappointing to be 15th, compered to being 8th,7th,7th,2nd,1st & 3rd in the past six years, but i'm still proud and have been expecting this to happen so i'm not too disappointed. I also impressed that they have come so far in this same year, they are improving every game and that can't disappoint me at all. So all in all it is a bit of mixed emotions for the annoyed at the present and then over the moon for the future.

hahah smart way to know its you - your on level 6.

  24. Impressed, after a **** finish last year, I wasn't expecting a top 4 finish.

The last few weeks have been disappointing, not getting the win, but we have showed some good signs, just haven't been able to put four quarters together.

  25. Richmond- Fantastic NOT to be BOTTOM, Richo has been fantastic, the kidz have come along, a fair few thumpings but nothing compared to Melb, so I'm not really complaining, beating Hawthorn today was great and a draw with Bulldogs very good.

Overall 7/10 for my ranking of the season =D

  26. My team has SO impressed me so far this year.

North Melbourne tipped to finish again at the bottom of the ladder but again are up there for the top 4.

They are equal 4th at the moment with Sydney that's a great effort!!!!!!

  27. a bit of both ... disappointed with the 8 losses in a row, but impressed with recent form(minus the west coast game). Overall impressed with the young players form this year

  28. i was impressed with carlton this year and i think that if they the finals that it will have been a succesful year for them

  29. Hawthorn has impressed this year. After the finals last year i was expecting the top 8 again, but top 3 is a huge bonus. Although we have lost a few games, we still haven't been able to put our best side on the park. The Cats are still favorite for the cup and so they should be. I just hope that come September we have a full list to choose from with no injuries or suspensions.

I think this season combined with last season holds us in good form for the future.

  30. Carlton are pretty much where I expected them to be. Just outside the 8. Next year we'll be in it though. Top 4 the year after.

I like the way we are playing 4 quarters of footy more often than we used too. I heard a commentator saying the other day, "will we see another Carlton comeback" when they were behind in the last quarter. Before we used to fold like a pack of cards once we were overtaken on the scoreboard.

Couple of disappointing losses though especially when we had the chance to move into the top 8.

But all in all I'd say I'm happy that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train!
