Has a human ever been killed by a fox?

Children are scared of foxes. So I've found. But has one ever actually killed a human?

No.  There has NEVER been a death of a human by a fox.  Those people answering yes do NOT know what they are talking about.  There has never been a human death caused by a bobcat either.

Honestly, at this point in history, anything that is capable of hurting a human has killed a human. Foxes are certainly no exception, when threatened.

Only indirectly - that is, a fox carrying rabies or some other disease biting a human and transmitting that disease to him/her. A fox has never killed a human by direct attack. They are small animals and will avoid humans whenever possible - even urban foxes which are accustomed to people will run if approached too closely. They are simply not strong enough (or stupid enough) to risk attacking something so much larger than they are.

Yes humans have probably been killed by almost every creature on earth. I'm sure someone has choked to death on a chicken bone. nomadd a fox CAN carry rabies not does carry it. Your statement was like saying people carry HIV, TB, etc.

On a global basis there are 40,000 to 50,000 deaths due to rabies.  Thirty to fifty percent of deaths occur among children under 15 years old. As to what percentage of those are due to fox attacks is not specified.

If there is a will there is a way.

A dog or cat could kill a human if it was there intention to. A rat could kill a human if it was able to sneak up on a human and the human had nothing to scare away the rat.
