  1. I haven't heard  of or read anything about a offer to him yet.  But I definately think that the Flyers will keep him, and RJ Umberger.

  2. nothing of yet but they do want to resign carter by the end of next week. in an interview with carter he said that he doesnt want to go anywhere else and that he is just waiting for an offer from philly. holmgren also said that he really wants to sign him.

  3. No offer yet, but look for them to try to get something done before the start of free agency. Its going to need to be a creative contract. The flyers don't have a ton of cap room, even with losing some of the players. Carter can probably get 4.5-5mil a year from someone. Look at the contracts that Vanek and Penner got. GMs are now willing to take a chance on restricted free agents.

I think they see the value in Carter as a very good two way player and he will resign, but it's going to handcuff them a little and they will not be able to sign Umberger.

  4. No an offer hasn't been made, but from what i understand, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren has stated that signing Carter will be a non issue and top priority.  Umberger on the other hand, will be a tad more difficult with his arbitration eligibility.

The Flyers will also look to sign Randy Jones and with all this said and done, it really doesn't leave room for the rumors of Brian Campbell to come to Philly.

  5. I have not heard of any offers happening yet. But from what I saw of his playing this season. They need to keep him

  6. you'll here something by next week

they we'll both be resigned so you don't have to worry about them going anywhere
