So that now he is playing against his old team the day after he was traded?

  1. I know that Ray Durham was traded to the Brewers after the Giants played them, and it was rumored he went back to Wisconsin with the Brewers after the game


  2. Some years ago, a player was traded during a double header, he played the second game for the other team, I can't remember who it was.

  3. On May 30, 1922 Max Flack of the Cubs and Cliff Heathcote of the Cadinals were traded for each other between games of a doubleheader.  Each player suited up for their new team in the 2nd game.

    On August 2, 1979 the Phillies sold Jose Cardenal to the Mets between games of a doubleheader.  Cardenal dressed for the Mets for Game 2 but did not play for them.

  4. I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but I remember when the Mariners traded away Jose Cruz. The came out in the middle of an inning and waved him into the dugout.

    The GM had to pull the trigger on a trade before midnight eastern time and the Mariners were playing a 7:00 (pacific time) game. They literally called him into the dugout in the middle of an inning to tell him that he had been traded.  

  5. the Mariners got Ben Brousard from the Indians in a trade I believe after the first game of the series against the Indians
