  1. There's a "black college"? Where are the "white colleges"? And do Indians get their own college too?

I had no clue this education thing would be so segregated.

  2. Yes.  It is happening more and more often.  White people were never barred from Black colleges.

  3. Unless, White person is a magician.

  4. Good question.  My guess is no, but I'm interrested in responses.

  5. Of course, White people are admitted to historically Black colleges all the time. Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA had its first White valedictorian in its 146 year history.

  6. Yes! I worked with a lady in Oklahoma City that attended Langston University. Langston is/was an all black university. She was able to get a couple grants also--one for being white and one for being a woman. She went through their Physical Therapy program--which is supposed to be one of the better programs in the country.

  7. Of course they have.

There are plenty of white students at Tennessee State University.

    A historically Black University.

Just don't be white and have a scholorship though.

Several white scholorship students have been attacked in thier dorm rooms, called racial slurs and told to stop taking scholorships from black people.

Of course, as usual, it was quickly hushed up,

With no out cry over a hate crime being committed.

  8. Yeah

This years Morehouse valedictorian is white.

  9. Haha, thanks for asking this. I asked myself the same thing the other day. You seem to have gotten a good answer already, but my guess is that it would be very bad publicity (apart from being incredibly ironic) to not accept white students.

It seems rather clear that you (and possibly

a great number of other people also) appear

to need some truthful information on this matter.

The first thing that you need to become aware of is

that the colleges and universities about which you

are referring have *never* forbid the admission of

people who were not of Black lineage or ancestry.

The truth of the matter is that these institutions

were actually created as being the absolute

'model examples' of the good that happens

when "racial" barriers are removed and

"race" is not used to prevent people

from their right to having an education.

These schools are commonly-referred to by the

term of "historically black" -- simply because

--- they were the first academic institutions

in the United States that were purposely

created in order to provide (rather than

deny) education to all students -- including

those who were of any part-Black lineage.

(Prior to this taking place, almost every single

American college openly forbid any student

-- who was not seen as being 'White' -- to

enter it's doors for educational instruction).

In fact, as a result of their policy of *not*

allowing "race" to be used as a barrier

to education -- a great number of the

    "historically black" academic institutions

    actually have student body populations

that are 'majority’ White along with a

very sizeable Latino population as well.
