How does seeing or reading other people's ideas or perspective help you create your own idea or become smarter by reading it? Can other people's idea change or "brainwash" your idea? how did Einstein or Edison create their ideas? just something to think about.

Thank you in advance!!

  1. Well...it depends....It doesn't "brainwash" you it "influences" you...

And yes reading books can give you ideas you'd never think of...Like inventions...or a song.

  2. Learning concepts from others is very useful. In medicine and other areas where the amount of information exceeds the capability of any one human mind, we need help.

On the other hand, it's been said with some accuracy that the greatest barrier to a correct diagnosis of a patient's symptoms is a previous diagnosis.

  3. i love learning how others operate. i love to argue other's points to see how strong the thought really is and vice versa with mine. when you see someone else's perspective on things and you can acctually understand it (may not agree with it) but your spectrum of thinking spans bigger to incorporate new knowledge you may not have know or been oblivious to before. the only time someone elses idea brainwashes is if yours wasnt strong to begin with.

  4. Yes, because learning about other ideas that you've never thought of can open up totally new ideas you. Learning about new ideas can totally change your outlook on life. Einstein and Edison thought carefully about their opinions to create genius ideas that changed the way we look at the world. People might try to pretend their opinions aren't based off of others, but they always are, because others' ideas create the world we live in, and created them. They formed society and made us who we are.

  5. The answer to all your Q's are yes. I also disagree with everyone, even if someone else repost this I would still disagree. You can't learn unless your stimulated by an exterior source or even the friend in your head.  Einstein, Emerson and anyone else who was famous for there genus was not alone. My opinion is.:.,.:. Try not to fixate on Ideas or words (IDEAS) it's not always healthy. Personally they don't exist in my world. My final point if any is that Brainwashing is fun. It's like the saying. You can't ride(Understand) a bike until you try.

    Thanks fo_ da_ stimulation G.:!.:.

  6. i think reading and talking to people can only give you new perspectives as long as you keep everything in moderation

i mean, if i read enough articles telling me the sky was purple i would probably start to read it. so i think it's good to learn and read info but also equally as important to question the info and look for answers that make sense to you

in terms of edison and einstein, i believe they were both influenced by things around them and came up with ideas from there

there's a saying and it goes something like, "necessity is the mother of all invention" and that is SO true

  7. It helps me view things from another persons point of view, weather I Iike it or not. Sometimes I will read something and think "that's a great way to put it." Sometimes they make me want to change something about me or my life. So yes, other peoples ideas can change me and my ideas.
