Has an online advertisement ever helped you?

Whether they are pop ups or just part of a web page, have online advertisements ever benefited you?

Absolutely. The thing that's great about online ads is they're often relevant to what you're looking at, and they are *not* like telemarketers who call you up and annoy you. I'd rather have an ad placed on the side of a webpage than get a phone call at 6am with some pushy salesperson on the end of the line.

Aside from helping me find a few games I played for a few days, no, not really.

It is more annoyance than beneficial.
