  1. well the treditional wedding (islam wedding boring)

then there is the modern wedding you can have a islam wedding or a christian wedding but both will be like getting married in Uk USA etc. ony differenc is that one you will have a imam the other a priest so same as europe just its a bit more lively dancing to folklor (livly turkish music)

  2. Hehehe :)

    MILLIONS......

  3. It's quick!

Civil ceremony is the only legal option so I'll describe an average of the 10-15 I've been to (which started with my brother's in 1978):

    1) Guests arrive at the wedding place, mill around aimlessly while the previous wedding group finish. Meanwhile the bride and groom are in an inner sanctum filling out forms and getting nervous.

    2) The arena becoming clear, the guests take their places in seats, much like in a cinema or theatre.

    3) The bride and groom enter together (music an optional extra) and take their places at a table on a stage with the two witnesses and the official.

    4) The official asks them each a couple of questions to which they in turn reply "Evet" (Yes).

    5) The official declares them married. They discreetly fight under the table to stamp on the other one's foot (That decides who will be the boss in the marriage). The guests applaud.

    6) The book is signed by all five people on stage.

    7) The people on stage leave the arena to an outer area where they greet their guests who give gold jewellery or cash.

    8) Some sweets or knicknacks are given in return.

Photographs/videos are taken throughout. A party with music, dancing, cake etc is an optional extra. Sometimes these two parts are amalgamated and the ceremony can take place in a restaurant, on a boat, or wherever. It can be tailored to suit individual tastes.
