No, there hasn't been.

Lincoln wrung the last possible progressive content of this system out like a wet washcloth, even though it took fighting the first modern war, and on our own turf to boot, to do it.

No other progressive moves are POSSIBLE under this corrupt, dying system.

Any further improvement would have to be by REPLACING it.

Hey Morganiie - Republicans in Lincoln's day were a lot more like today's Democrats than today's Republicans.  If he were alive today, he'd be a moderate democrat.  Cripes people, do a little research.
