  2. "felt like they've lost their soul?"

    No such thing to lose.

  3. Everybody has a soul and a spirit. It depends on you what you do with it

  4. They wouldn't care.

And I don't give a rats *** what they think.

  5. dont believe such a thing exists

  6. I don't believe in the soul.

    =Edit=

    Who is more brainwashed?

    1) People who can think clearly and rationally about the world around them and deduce, there is no god.

    or

    2) People tricked into thinking the world started with a guy, a woman made out of his rib, and a talking snake.

  7. I have met many (and counselled a few) who felt just that.

  8. I sold it in order to become the Waffle Captain, greatest waffle-maker... ever.

  9. If I were spiritual, I'd actually say I gained back a soul.

Also, notice how Buddhists are the people who express their souls the most..

  10. Don't believe in such a silly fairy tale.

And if I had one, I would have traded it for a Gucci bag any day. At least I can get some use out of that.

  11. atheists are good people it`s brainwashed people like you that are ruining the world

  12. No.  But while I've never been at home with the "soul" as it seems to be commonly conceived, I did come to feel that I had been made complete when I found the woman who is now my fiancée.

  13. Atheists don't believe in souls.  We believe in good (or bad) morals.

  14. In the laundry, or where?

  15. How can you lose something that does not exist in reality, but in the minds of religious folk?

  16. I used to feel that way but then I started listening to James Brown and I got it back. How does one practice 'vicious veganism' ? Is it like maniacal laughter while you chop carrots?

  17. I've heard animals ( with no soul ) scream when they die, why would that be?

  18. No.

Being `burned out` is usually attributed to overwork.

  19. I have been lucky enough to have attended the deaths of both my parent's.  'Lucky', might seem a strange word to use, but it is the one that describes how I feel about being with them to offer comfort when they needed it most.

I have also witnessed the death of my grandson.

On neither occasion, had I seen or felt anything that could be considered a soul.

    Atheist.

  20. strange how they know that the brain is matter which creates the mind which is energy and yet don't believe that energy can exist with out matter.

  22. I don't believe in the concept of the soul.

  23. Surely if you are an atheist you won't have a soul (which is a religious concept) to lose.

  24. Well, no.

  25. Perhaps a more acceptable phrase would be, have any atheists out there ever felt a loss of the sense of self, a consciousness of being in discord with oneself (cognitive dissonance).  Is that what you're asking?  Or are you asking specifically about the Christian concept of the soul?

  26. not me.

  27. I believe there is part of us which is internal and eternal.

It is not subject to any changes it is the watcher or maybe our conscience.

    Christians call it the soul

    Hindus call it the Atma

You can ignore it while in the temporary physical body  but it will eventually be our only focus.

You definitely can not  lose it.  We sometimes fail to identify with it and we become unhappy.

  28. There's probably been a few, but, since I don't know all the atheists ever, I couldn't say.

I know I never felt any loss of anything when I turned atheist. In all actuality, I felt more satisfied with myself, and with the world around me, more at peace.

If any did feel like they lost their soul, then yeah, it would be hypocritical.

    Atheistically yours,

    JM Gendron.

  29. Can't loose something that you never had in the first place.

  30. nope, never had one cuz there is no such thing.
