Has any bit player from Star Trek ever become famous?

You know, that 4th guy who never really had a name, but would beam down with Kirk, Spock and McCoy to a planet. You always knew he was not coming back.

Did any of those characters ever become famous or was killing them off the studios way of telling them they had no talent?

Shatner had (and still has) no talent at all.  Bit players were never given the opportunity to upstage him.   Except for maybe the Horta.

That lady above me never did answer the question.  All she did was give our hero, Bill Shatner a hard time.  She needs to be shown the airlock

I do not knoe the answer either.  Interesting question though
